Arklow Cat Rescue is a compassionate and dedicated volunteer-led organisation committed to the welfare of cats in the Arklow area. At Arklow Cat Rescue, we are passionately dedicated to the welfare of cats within the Arklow community, providing a comprehensive range of programs and services designed to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome felines in need. Our approach focuses on compassionate care, fostering well-being, and promoting responsible practices.
Emergency Cat Rescue & Intake: We respond to calls for abandoned, injured, and stray cats within the Arklow area, providing immediate rescue and a safe intake into our care system.
Comprehensive Veterinary Care: Every cat receives thorough veterinary assessment, including necessary vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, spay/neuter surgery, and ongoing medical treatment for any health issues.
Foster & Rehabilitation Network: Our vital network of volunteer foster homes provides a loving, temporary environment for cats to recover, socialize, and prepare for their forever homes, including specialized support for fearful or injured cats.
Responsible Adoption Program: We facilitate careful adoption matches, ensuring that each cat is placed with a suitable, screened family dedicated to providing a loving, permanent home, complete with post-adoption support.
Community Spay/Neuter Initiatives: We advocate for and, where possible, assist with spay/neuter efforts within Arklow to help control the feline population and reduce the number of homeless cats.
Education & Awareness: We engage with the Arklow community through local events and online resources to promote responsible pet ownership, highlight the importance of feline welfare, and offer advice on cat care.
